Arjuna’s Penance :

Located at the center of Mahabalipuram Arjun’s penance is a huge rock in the canvas unfolding a scene of gods, demigods, birds and beauty itself. It is a magnificently and skillfully carved and is the largest bas relief sculptures in the world. The sculptures were built in the 7th century on a big pink granite measuring 49ft *98ft and is a state of the art.
